Conejos County Courthouse
The Conejos County Courthouse, located in Conejos, Colorado, was built in 1891 at a cost of $35,000. The
building of white sandstone and polished Texas pine was remodelled over the years, but the original structure
remained essentially the same until June 27, 1980, when the building was destroyed by fire (see photo, page
102.). Presently, temporary quarters of the courthouse are being provided at the Conejos Headstart Building. Photo
