Adams County Courthouse:
The Adams County Courthouse, lo-
cated in Brighton, Colorado, was dedi-
cated in 1906 and built for $41,725. Prior
to the building of this courthouse at 4th
Ave. and Bridge St., the county court was
housed in private homes, one of which
was destroyed by fire in 1904, losing all
county records. The Bridge St. courthouse
served the county for 70 years, the original
structure having been expanded in 1939.
In March of 1976 a new county adminis-
tration building was dedicated. Photo
