Cataloging Aid

The HeinOnline Cataloging Aid assists libraries by
  • Identifying appropriate bibliographic records from OCLC for titles in HeinOnline and
  • Providing a mechanism to add links to records in a local online system, allowing users of a library's catalog to click a link and access the electronic version of a title in HeinOnline.
  • The Cataloging Aid also provides a method to customize URLs and facilitate off-campus access to users for libraries utilizing Innovative Interfaces Proxy Rewrite.

A separate Cataloging Aid is available for HeinOnline's Legal Classics Library. In addition to brief bibliographic information, OCLC record numbers and URLs for copying/pasting, MARC records are available to download. These files can be imported to the OCLC Connexion Client or loaded directly to a local online system.

The HeinOnline Cataloging Aid is maintained by staff and hosted on servers at Washburn University School of Law Library in Topeka, Kansas.
