- Contains more than 1,100 law and law-related periodicals. Coverage is from the first issue published for all periodicals and goes through the most-currently published issues allowed based on contracts with publishers. Therefore, in some cases the current issues are available, but generally a user will notice a one-volume delay. Searching can be done by title or author name, as well as full-text searching of the collection or select periodicals. Date ranges may also be entered to narrow search results. Sub-collections of the Law Journal Library are also available for those institutions wishing to subscribe to fewer periodicals.

American Law Institute Library

- The American Law Institute library on HeinOnline consists of full runs of the Institute's Annual Reports, Proceedings, Annual Meeting Speeches, and the Institute's newsletter, The ALI Reporter. These series can help greatly in conducting research into Institute projects and publications going back to the organization's founding. The ALI Collection also includes archival material from the Second Restatement of Torts (perhaps the most influential treatise on common law liability), the Model Penal Code (adopted as the criminal code in most states), and the Statement of Essential Human Rights (a pioneering ALI project of the mid 1940s). Additional documents from the Institute Archives at Penn will be added to the ALI library on HeinOnline in the future

- The collection includes access to the reprint of The Harvard Research in International Law as well as Contemporary Analysis and Appraisal. The Harvard Research in International Law was originally published in the American Journal of International Law between 1929 and 1939. The Harvard Research was the brainchild of Manley O. Hudson, the Bemis Professor of International Law at Harvard Law School, and the first chairman of the International Law Commission (1949-53). The various advisory boards that were assembled wrote draft conventions on several topics over a 10-year period.

- The U.S. Congressional Documents Collection features the bound and daily versions of Congressional Record, its three predecessor titles, and other important congressional material. The Congressional Record, first published in 1873, is essentially the complete printed chronicle of debates, proceedings and speeches of the United States Congress. Previously congressional debates were catalogued in the Annals of Congress (1789-1824), Register of Debates (1824-1837) and Congressional Globe (1833-1873). The Record is believed to be the most complete and accurate count of congressional matters to date.
