Foreign Air Transportation




                       ORDER APPROVING CHANGE IN-SERVICE PLAN

       By Order 78-4-44, approved April 7, 1978, the Board authorized Airlift
  International, Inc,, (Airlift) tp engage in foreign air transportation of
  property and mail: ..Between the coterminals Miami, Houston, and Puerto Rico;
  and the coterminals Argentina, Barbados, Brazil, Colombia, Dominican Republic,
  Ecuador, Haiti, Jamaica, Netherlands West Indies, Nicaragua, Mexico and
  Venezuela.

       By Order 79-3-53, March 9, 1979, Airlift was issued an Approved
  Service Plan-Foreign Air Transportation for Route 180 to serve Buenos
  Aires, Argentina.

     On June 1, 1979, Airlift filed an application requesting a change in its
Approved Service Plan for Route 180 so as to begin service to Kingston, Jamaica
on June 4, 1979 with one weekly roundtrip. 1/

     In view of the imminence of the proposed service to Kingston, we will act
on Airlift's applicatiol without waiting the 20 days for the filing of answers.


     Acting under authority delegated by the Board in its Organizational Regulations,
14 CFR 385.26(j), we find that it is in the public interest to grant Airlift's
application for a change in its Approved Service Plan-Foreign Air Transportation
for Route 180 in the form attached.

i/  Airlift proposes to operate nonstop service between Miami and Kingston, with
on-line connecting service available between Houston/San Juan and Kingston via Miami.
