DOMESTIC AIR FREIGHT RATE INVESTIGATION Docket 22859

                      ORDER DISMISSING MOTION

On April 20, 1978, Delta Airlines, Inc., a party to this case,
filed a motion to end the regular reporting of domestic air freight
traffic data that had been required throughout the proceeding. l/
Delta apparently was not aware of our opinion and order on recon-
sideration in this case which was issued that same day. 2/ That
order vacates many of the findings in our final opinion in this
case and terminates the proceeding. It also decides to end regular
freight traffic reports associated with this case. Since carriers
are no longer under any obligation to submit those reports for this
proceeding, we will dismiss Delta's motion as moot.

     ACCORDINGLY, IT IS ORDERED THAT:

The motion of Delta Airlines described above is dismissed as
moot.

     By the Civil Aeronautics Board:

                                          PHYLLIS T. KAYLOR
                                             Secretary

 (SEAL)
All Members concurred.
1/ Alternatively Delta asked that all-cargo carriers certificated under
section 418 of the Act after the final decision in this case (Order 77-
8-62) be included in the reporting requirement. Midwest Air Charter,
Inc. answered Delta favoring an end to reporting and opposing expansion
of reporting to 418 carriers.
2/ Order 78-4-100, adopted April 19, 1978, served April 20, 1978.
