Intra-Hawaii Priority and
Nonpriority Service Mail Rates


     ALOHA AIRLINES, INC.                             Dockets 30833

    HAWAIIAN AIRLINES, INC.


              ORDER FIXING FINAL SERVICE MAIL RATES

     By Order 78-4-75, dated April 14, 1978, the Board directed all
interested persons, particularly the Postmaster General, Aloha
Airlines, Inc., and Hawaiian Airlines, Inc., to show cause why the
Board should not adopt the proposed findings and conclusions and
fix, determine, and publish the final rates proposed therein.

     The time designated for filing notice of objection has elapsed
and no notice of objection or answer to the order has been filed by
any person. All persons have therefore waived the right to a
hearing and all other procedural steps short of fixing a final rate.

     Upon consideration of the record, the findings and conclusions
set forth in said order are reaffirmed and adopted.

     Accordingly, pursuant to the Federal Aviation Act of 1958, as
amended, and particularly sections 204(a) and 406 thereof, the
Board's Procedural Regulations, 14 CFR Part 302, and the authority
delegated by the Board in its Organization Regulations, 14 CFR
385.16(g),

     IT IS ORDERED THAT:

     1. The fair and reasonable rates of compensation to be paid
on and after May 21,1977, to Hawaiian Airlines, Inc., and on and
after May 23, 1977, to Aloha Airlines, Inc., by the Postmaster
General pursuant to the provisions of Section 406 of the Federal
Aviation Act of 1958, as amended, for the transportation of
priority and nonpriority mail by aircraft over their intra-Hawaii
routes are:

     a. A final priority service mail rate of $1.67 per mail
ton-mile;
