Application of

   FRONTIER AIRLINES, INC. Docket 18027

for an exemption pursuant to
section 416 of the Federal
Aviation Act of 1958 to permit
certain nonstop operations during
the Christmas holiday season.

                         ORDER GRANTING EXEMPTION

By application filed ofl December 8, 1966, as amended December 9, 1966,
Frontier I/requests an exemption under section 416 of the Act from the
terms and limitations of its certificate and section 401 of the Act to the
extent necessary to permit it to operate during this Christmas holiday
season (specifically from December 21-24, 1966 and January 1-3, 1967) nonstop
flights in seven specific markets 2/ where Frontier is presently authorized
to serve on a stop-restricted basis.

Frontier expressly waives the right to advertise such services by
radio, television or other news media. Frontier states in support that as
happens every year, the demand for air transportation will far exceed the
supply during the commencing holiday season and that this situation prevails
with respect to the seven markets in which the authority is requested.
Frontier claims that as early as three weeks before Christmas there was a
serious capacity problem on the trunkline services in the terminal-to-terminal
markets involved herein during the four days prior to Christrhas, and that by the time
Christmas arrives there is no question but that the capacity offered by the
trunkline carrier in these markets will be fully saturated. Frontier provides
specific trunkline reservations information on a daily basis with respect to
the markets at issue.
