                       PROVIDING FOR CONSIDERATION OF MOTIONS TO
                                      SUSPEND THE RULES



                      JUNE 26, 2001.-Referred to the House Calendar and ordered to be printed


                           Ms. PRYCE of Ohio, from the Committee on Rules,
                                      submitted the following


                                           REPORT

                                       [To accompany H. Res. 179]
                    The Committee on Rules, having had under consideration House
                  Resolution 179, by a nonrecord vote, report the same to the House
                  with the recommendation that the resolution be adopted.
                             SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS OF THE RESOLUTION
                    The resolution provides that the following measures may be con-
                    sidered under suspension of the rules at any time on the legislative
                    day of Wednesday, June 27, 2001:
                        (1) the resolution (H. Res. 172) honoring John J. Downing,
                      Brian Fahey, and Harry Ford, who lost their lives in the course
                      of duty as firefighters;
                        (2) the bill (H.R. 2133) to establish a commission for the pur-
                      pose of encouraging and providing for the commemoration of
                      the 50th anniversary of the Supreme Court decision in Brown
                      v. Board of Education;
                        (3) the bill (S. 757) to designate the Federal building and
                      United States courthouse located at 504 West Hamilton Street
                      in Allentown, Pennsylvania, as the Edward N. Cahn Federal
                      Building and United States Courthouse; and
                        (4) the bill (H.R. 691) to extend the authorization of funding
                      for child passenger protection education grants through fiscal
                      year 2003.
