   NATIONAL PARKS OMNIBUS MANAGEMENT ACT OF 1998

      Mr. YOUNG   of Alaska,  from the Committee on Resources,
                       submitted   the following

  The  Committee on Resources, to whom was referred the bill (S.
1693)  to provide for improved   management and increased account-
ability for certain National   Park  Service programs,   and  for other
purposes,  having   considered  the  same,   report favorably   thereon
with  an  amendment and recommend that the bill as amended do
pass.
  The  amendment is as follows:
  Strike  out all after the enacting clause  and  insert in lieu thereof
the following:
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE; TABLE OF CONTENTS.
  (a) SHORT TITLE.-This Act may be cited as the National Parks Omnibus Man-
agement Act of 1998.
  (b) TABLE OF CONTENTS.-The table of contents of this Act is as follows:
