  SIR: In  accordance with the provisions of section 5 of the act of
August  5, 1882 (22 Stat. L., 256), I have the honor to transmit here-
with estimates of appropriations for defraying the expenses of collect-
ing the revenue from customs  for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1901.
