Resolution on the Chamber for Fisheries Disputes
The International Tribunal for the Law of the Sea,
Acting pursuant to article 15, paragraph 1, of its Statute,
Noting that at a meeting on 14 February 1997 the Tribunal formed the Chamber for
Fisheries Disputes as a standing special chamber of the Tribunal,
Noting that it established the terms of reference of the Chamber in its resolution of
28 April 1997,
1.   Records that the Chamber is composed of seven members and that, if the
number of members able to sit in a given case falls below five, new members shall
be selected by the Tribunal in order to bring the number to five at least;
2.   Records that the quorum required for meetings is five members-
3.   Records that the Chamber will be available to deal with disputes which the
parties agree to submit to it concerning the interpretation or application of any
provision of:
(a)  the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea concerning the
conservation and management of marine living resources; and
(b)  any other agreement relating to the conservation and management of
marine living resources which confers jurisdiction on the Tribunal;
