        The Committee met at the office of the Chairman

William M. Prichard, No. 7 Nassau Street, New York City,

Friday, December 20, 1889, pursiuant to adjournment.

Present:- Messrs. William 11. Prichard, E. Ellery Anderson,

           Daniel G. Rollins and William G. Wilson.

             A letter from Judge Bookstaver wasppresented

a         which reads as follows: As in your letter to me

you say that your Committee do not propose to take my

statement today, I would prefer that these whom you have

invited to attend before you be permitted to make any

statement they desire to make wholly unembarrassed by my

presence.
