To which defendant pleaded the general issue. On the trial, Hunt proved, and gave in evidence the following check Philadelphia, July 12, 1849. BANK OF PENN TOWNSHIP. Pay to John Todd (on the 12th day of August) or order, Six hundred and forty dollars and sixty-two cents. $640 62. (Signed) SAMUEL HUNT. (Endorsed) JOHN TODD. Hunt then followed this by proof of the following paper, which he also read in evidence.
