Samuel Allen, H1igh Sheriff of the County of Philadelphia, John
Starr, James Bell, John Beatty and Andrew McBride defendants in
Error.
The form of the action was debt. The Narr declared against the
Sheriff for not returning writ. By means of which defendants became
indebted to plaintiffs. To which defendants pleaded 'nil debent.' The
Jury rendered a verdict for the plaintiffs for 6 cents.
