BIRINTON,

JAN. 30TH, 1865.

I. The Act of Congress of February 25th, 1862, ( declaring certain
notes legal tenders and lawful money,) is constitutional.
II. A covenant to pay lawful silver money is discharged by tender
of lawful money.
III. The principal of a Ground Rent becomes a debt upon the
tenant's election to extinguish it.
