Findings of fact requested by the Petitioner.
1. That on the 7th day of June, 1806, Carondelet pre-
sented to the recorder of land titles for confirmation her
claim to six thousand arpens of land for commons, by
virtue of a concession dated 7th December, 1796, (pp.
32, 33, 34,) and as evidence of the concession filed (1st)
the petition of Ganiache of 6th December, 1796, asking
for a grant of land situate below the village, and bounded
by the Mississippi and the river Des Peres, and the re-
ply of the governor thereto, dated 7th December, 1796,
stating that the land asked for is included in that which
has been reserved to furnish the wood necessary to the
village of Carondelet, and for that reason the application
of Gamache, and all other concessions in that direction,
will be refused, when the same are situated between a
line running from the end of the lands of the village
down and parallel to the Mississippi river one hundred
and fifty arpens. 2d. The return of survey by Antoine
