Charge and Specification of a Charge preferred by the
Secretary of the Navy, against
]EDWARD GRAYS OINT,
A SHIP'S COOK IN THE NAVY.
CHARGE.---Deserting his Station.
SPECIFICATION.-In this, that on or about the thirty-first
day of January, in the year eighteen hundred and sixty-
three, the said EDWARD GRAYSON deserted his station on
board the United States Steamer Mercedita, off Charleston,
South Carolina, and left the said Steamer in a boat with
others of her crew, without orders or permission.
