Holmes meeting her on the train outside the
city, and their trip to Toronto, on October 18,

Prescott, and remained there one day, and
he was there part of the time. We went from
there to Ogdensburg, N. Y., and Mr. Holmes
was there nearly all the time. When he was
away he was just looking around the lown.
We wrent from Ogdensburg to Burlington,
Vt., and remained there a week or more.
Q. Was Mr. Holmes there? A. Yes, sir;
and-he went from there to Boston, Mass., and
remained there about a week, until Holmes
was arrested,
Q. In all this journey did you see Mrs.
Pitezel or any of the Pitezel children? A.
No, sir.
