WILSON, one on the 21st of July 1860, and the other on the 4th of May, 1861, and three applications, }. one filed by WILLIAM H. McNARY, another by WILLIAM H. NEWTON, and the third by CHARLES W. JOHNSON. I ARGUMENT ON THE PART OF McNARY, NEWTON, AND JOHNSON, BY CHARLES M. KELLER. Hearings were duly ordered in the several interferences, and by special orders, finally postponed to the last Mon- day of June, 1862, and the time for filing arguments to the 15th day of July, 1862. I shall argue the three interferences, McNary's, Newton's, and Johnson's, separately, and in that order, although it will be necessary occasionally in arguing each, to make reference to the evidence taken in the others. The attempt was made on the part of James G. Wilson to take the evidence in the three cases jointly, which would have had the effect of shutting out much evidence on the part of his antagonists, but this was duly objected to, and we do not press the objection to that testimony beyond this point.
