The following memorials and specifications were filed:
To the 11onorable the As8ernbly of the State of New York:
The undersigned believing that by the greatest number of votes
cast by the electors of the first Assembly district in the county of
Albany, at the last general election, he has been elected a member of
the present House of Assembly, and that he is entitled to the seat
which by the canvassers has been awarded to the Honorable William
D. Murphy, respectfully prays that his claim to such seat may be
investigated by the Assembly, and that he may be declared to be
entitled to a seat as a member for the district aforesaid.
And your petitioner will ever pray, &c.
