REVENUE ACT OF 1938
May, 1938, Edition
The Revenue Act of 1938 was not signed by the
President, but became law under Article I, Section 7,
Clause 2, of the Constitution, which provides:
* * * If any bill shall not be returned by the
President within ten days (Sundays excepted)
after it shall have been presented to him, the
same shall be a law in like manner as if he
had signed it * *.
The ten-day period expired at midnight of May 27, 1938.
