Report of a commission to revise the statutes in force in the District of
Columbia.
DECEMBER 19, 1872.-Referred to the Committee for the District of Columbia and
ordered to be printed.
DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, EXECUTIVE OFFICE,
Washington, D. C., December 18, 1872.
SIR: I have the honor to transmit herewith the report of a commis-
sion, appointed by virtue of an act of the legislative assembly, to revise
the statutes in force in this District.
Their report embodies a complete body of law, dealing in many cases-
with acts of Congress, and will require the assent and approval of Con-
gress before it can be of force.
I have the honor to submit the same through you to Congress for its
action.
