ACTS and LAWS,
Paffed by the General Affembly of the State
of Vermont, at their Seffion at Charleftown,
Odober, 1781.
In GENERAL ASSEMBLY, October 18th, 1781. Passed Oct.

.7HEREAS by the Arrangement ofthe several Counties in this State,
the Town of Randolph was annexed to the County of Rutland.
AND whereas it is very inconvenient for said Town to enjoy Privi-
leges with said County, by lying at a great Distance from its Centre,
and East of the Heikt of Land. --And whereas the Situation of
said Town, on Account ofRoads, &c. renders it most convenient, for
the same to be annexed to the County of Windsor.

Preamble.

THEREFORE,

RESOL VED, '      HAT the forementioned Town of Randolph be
1 and hereby is, for the Time being, annexed to
the County of Windsor aforesaid.
An A& to remit to the Town of Danby, the Pay-
ment of Part of a certain Tax therein mentioned.
JJ7HEREAS it has been represented, on Behalfof the Town of Dan-
by, in the County of Rutland, that the Inhabitants of the Town of
Harwich, in the ear 1780, gave in the List of their Polls and rateable
Estate, amountingto the Sum of One Hundred and.Ninety-one Pounds,
and Ten Shillings, to the Listers of the Town of Danby:-That the
said One Hundred and Ninety-one Pounds and Ten Shillings was in-
cluded in the Sum total of the List returned by the Town of Danby to
the last General Assembly; and that the Town of Harwich,for Want
of proper Information being given to the Legislature, was doomed to
pay their Proportion of Taxes, separate from the Town of Danby:
THEREFORE,
BE it enaeled, and it is hereby enaeledby the Representatives of the Free-
men of the State of Vermont, in General Assembly met, and by the
Authority of the same, That the Inhabitants of the said Town of Danby
are hereby remitted and discharged from the Payment of any Tax or
Suin of Money assessed upon them, or which they have become liable
to pay, by Reason, or on Account of the said One Hundred and Ninety-
one Pounds and Ten Shillings being included in the List of the Polls
and rateable Estate of the said Town of Danby.
