cond general affembly of the common-
wealth of Penqfylvania, which com-
menced at Philadelphia, on the fourth
day of Augu/f, A. D. 1778.
C H A P T E R LXVI,
An A C T to repeal three feveral a&Is of general af/embly
of this comonwealth, to wit, the ael intitled  An A
to impower thejuftices of Philadelphia and Chefter
counties to hold courts at other places than ufual.
One other abl, hititled,  An Aa for the better fecuring
and punifhing perfons guilty of crimes therein men-
tioned. And the aa5, intiled, An Mt to impower
thejuftices of the county of Bucks to hold courts 2t
other places than ufual, and for the removal and fafe
cuftody of the records and other public papers of the
faid county.
SECT ION I.      H E R E A S at the time when the ene- Preamble.
V     my's grand army was in poffeffion of
the city of Philadelphia and its environs, and frequently
made fuddcn incurfions into the adjacent counties of
Chefter and Bucks, three feveral ads of general affembly
were made for the advancement and more certain admi-
niftration of, public juftice in the feveral counties of Phila-
delphia, Chefter and Bucks, and for the fafety of the public
records of the faid county of Bucks.
SECT. 2. 4nd whereas upon the retreat of the faid army
from this flate the provifions made by the faid three feveral
ats are become unneceffary, and the refpe&ive courts of
juftice, records and prifons may from henceforth be fafely
held and kept at the ufual places appointed by law.
