CHAPTER 15
(Senate Bill 84)
AN ACT concerning
Dorchester County - Public Dock Regulation
FOR the purpose of authorizing    the County Commissioners of
Dorchester   County  to adopt regulations concerning    the
operation and maintenance    of   certain   public   harbor
facilities; authorizing  the County Commissioners to impose
certain penalties for certain violations; and generally
relating  to regulation of public harbor facilities      in
Dorchester County.

SECTION  1.   BE IT  ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:
Article 25 - County Commissioners
lIC-I.
(A) THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF DORCHESTER COUNTY MAY ADOPT
REGULATIONS CONCERNING THE MAINTENANCE AND OPERATION OF PUBLIC
DOCKS, PIERS, WHARVES, AND HARBOR FACILITIES OWNED OR LEASED BY
THE COUNTY.
(B) THE REGULATIONS AUTHORIZED UNDER THIS SECTION MAY
INCLUDE PROVISIONS FOR PERMITS, BERTHS, MOORING, SWIMMING, TRASH
DISPOSAL AND REMOVAL, AND SUNKEN VESSELS.
(C) THE   COUNTY COMMISSIONERS MAY ADOPT PENALTIES FOR
VIOLATIONS OF THESE REGULATIONS, INCLUDING FINES OF UP TO  $500,
IMPRISONMENT OF UP TO 6 MONTHS, OR BOTH.
SECTION  2.   AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1989.
