of His Majefty's Province of theMa achu/etts-Bay
in New- England: Begun and held at BoRon, in
the County of Sufolh, upon Wednefday theTwen-
ty-feventh Day of May, 1767.

An AL for ereftingthe new          Plantation called Leba-
non lying at the I-lead of the Town of Berwick?
adjoining on theEaftern Side of Salmon FallsRiver
in the County of York, into a Town by the Name
of Lebanon.
W      HEREAS the creEling the Plantation called Lebanon, into a pieamble.
Town willgreatly contribute to the Growth thereof, and remedy
many inconveniencies to which the Inhabitants and Proprietors
may be otherwife fu! jeO.
Be it enaeled by the Governor, Council,and Hofe of Reprefentatives, dauogn ercs-
7i hat the Plantation aforefaid, Bounded as followeth, Viz. Bcgining it ed into a
Salmon Fall River in the North Bounds of the Townfhip of Berwick, Town by ce
and to run NorthEall and by Eaft with that Line fix Miles two Hundred
Rods ; then North Weft and by North fix Miles and eighty Rods with
the Province Land; thcn South \eft and by Weft with the unappropri-
ated Lands of the (;overnrmncit, and a Grant made to 7onathan Bag/ey.
Efq; to the River afbrclIaid, and then with the faid River to the Bound;
firfl ncntioucd, be, and hereby is creacd into a Town by the Name of
Lebanon, and that the Inhabitants thereof be, and hereby are invcflcd
with ail the Powers, Priviledges and Immunities which the Inhabitants
of the Towns within this Prnvincc do enjcy.
