PASSED AT THE SESSION BEGUN AND HELD AT BOSTON,
ON THE SECOND DAY OF JANUARY, A.D. 1760.
CHAPTER 180.
ORDER GRANTING TO DAVID BRADLEY, JUNE, LICENCE TO KEEP AN INN.
A PETITION of David Bradley Junr of Haverhill in the County of Legislative
Essex Setting forth that he hath purchased a House of John Young council, xxiii.,
in said Town which for many years past hath been licensed for a  bass.
Tavern, and is conveniently Situated for that purpose, And praying exi., 460.
that he may have a like license.                            House Jour.

Ordered that the Justices of the Gen' Sessions of the Peace for
the County of Essex be and they hereby are allowed and impowered
(if they See cause) at their next Session to grant the Petr a Licence
to keep a Tavern the remaining part of the Year; the time for grant-
ing Licences being elapsed notwithstanding. [Passed January 3.
CHAPTER 181.
ORDER IMPOWERING THOB COCKRAN, GUARDIAN, TO SELL REAL ESTATE
AND MAKING PROVISION IN REGARD TO THE PROCEEDS.
A PETITION of Thomas Cockran of Pelham in the County of egislanve
Hampshire, Guardian to Joseph Gray of Pelham, a minor of about Council, xxiii.,
sixteen years of Age. Setting forth that the said minor hath a weak- 181.
ness in his Legs which renders him utterly unable to earn his living House Jour.
by Labour, and that he is never like to be better. That said Joseph 18. 1
hath a Rough Tract of land lying in Rutland being about One hun-
dred and seven Acres left him by his Father, and is the whole of his
Estate. And Praying that he the said Thomas may be impowred to
Sell said Land, and improve the money arising by Sale, at Interest
for the maintenance of said minor.
Read and
Ordered That the Prayer of the Petition be granted, and that
Thomas Cockran Guardian to Joseph Gray the minor within men-
tioned be impowred to make Sale of the Farm of land within men-
tioned for the most it will fetch, and make and Execute a Good
Deed or Deeds of the same in the law, and that the proceeds of the
Sale of said Farm be put at Interest, and such part thereof as may
be necessary from time to time employed for the support and mainte-
nance of the said minor. And that the said Thomas Cockran give
caution to the Judge of Probate for the County of Hampshire to
account for his Proceedings in the Premisses. [Passed January 5.
