CHAPTER 1.
ORDER OF NOTICE ON THE PETITION OF JONATHAN STONE & OTHERS
TO BE SET OFF FROM LEICESTER TO WORCESTER.
A PETITION of Jonathan Stone of Worcester, James Hart Thomas Leglelntive
Beard and James Wallis, all of Leicester, Setting forth that the Line Council,
between Leicester and Worcester divides the petitioner Stones Farm xxiti., 8.
leaving only his House and about Ten Acres of Land in Worcester; House Jour.
that the other petitioners Farms lye wholly in Leicester, that they P
live Six Miles from the place of publick Worship in Leicester and note.  ,
are obliged to ride three Miles and an half through Worcester to
go to it, that by reason of their Situation they have no benefit of
the School in Leicester, although they pay towards its support; and
that they live but about four Miles and an half from the Meeting
house at Worcester with a good Countrey Road leading to it There-
fore praying that they with their Estates may be set off to the Town
of Worcester.

Ordered, that the petitioner notify the Town of Leicester of this
petition by leaving an Attested Copy thereof with the Clerk of said
Town that they shew cause (if any they have) on the first Friday of
the next Sitting of this Court, why the prayer thereof should not
be granted.' [Passed May 27.
CHAPTER 2.
ORDER APPOINTING A COMMITTEE ON THE MEMORIAL OF THO HUTCH-
INSON, ESQ3, IN REGARD TO LANDS MORTGAGED TO COMMISSIONERS
OF £100,000 LOAN.
A MEMORIAL of Thomas Hutchinson Esqr in behalf of the CoM- Legislative
missioners for finishing the hundred thousand pounds Loan Setting tecords of the
forth That in the year, 1724. the then Commissioners recovered xxit.,s. Mass.
Judgment against one Lemuel Little for X236.0.6 debt & costs, or 53hivescis.,
otherwise possession of certain Lands, Mortgaged as a Security for Mass.
payment thereof, that the Money not being paid, possession was Achisceni.,
taken, and in the year. 1742. said Lands were Sold for £501.   Journal, p.72.
