Made and paffed by the General Court or
Affembly of the State of Conneicut,
holden at Hartford, in faid State, on the
fecond Thurfday of May, A. D. 1787.
W   I-TEREAS the United States in congress afrembled, have by their
V      Refohition of the I3th of April, 1787, recommended to the feveral
States to repeal all fuch Afts, and Parts of Aas, of their feveral Legiflatures,
as may be now exiffing in any of the faid States, repugnant to the Treaty of Preamble.
Peace, between the United States and Great-Britain; and that each State
pafs lfch A& of Repeal, whether any fuch exceptionable Mt is exifting in
fuch State, or not; and that rather by defcribing than reciting fuch A6, for
the purpolf of obviating all Difputes and Queftions between the United
States and Great-Britain, relative to faid Treaty; and although there hath
been no Complaint, or Suggeffion, officially or otherwife, that there is any
Aft, or Part of an A&t exifting in this State repugnant to faid Treaty; yet
this Affembly being ai all Times difpofed to conform to the true Intent,
and Spirit of the Articles of Confederation, and to prevent and remove (fo
far as to this Affembly doth- appertain) all Caufes of Difpute and Contenti-
