AN ACT TO MODIFY THE FUNDING FORMULA
MODEL FOR UNIVERSITIES; AND FOR
OTHER PURPOSES.
Subtitle
TO MODIFY THE FUNDING FORMULA MODEL
FOR UNIVERSITIES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY
OF THE STATE OF ARKANSAS:
SECTION 1. Arkansas Code § 6-61-228(j)(4) and
(5) concerning facilities maintenance and operations
funding for universities is amended to read as follows:
(4) Excess square footage above the space pre-
diction model's established need shall be funded at
one-half-( )-that a rate determined by the Arkansas
Higher Education Coordinating Board staff.
(5) Universities with less square footage than the
space prediction model-determined need  41-reeeive
one-half (Y) the establiphed rate for the additional1
square footage need   shall be funded at a rate
determined by the Arkansas Higher Education Coor-
dinating Board staff.
SECTION    2. Arkansas Code § 6-61-228(k)(2)
concerning the special mission funding for universities
is amended to read as follows:.'
(2) The universities with a traditional minority
mission shall receive an additional amount equal to ten
percent-(10%) fifteen percent (15%) of all student
semester credit hours or full-time-equivalent-based
portions of the funding formula.
SECTION    3. Arkansas Code § 6-61-228(l)(3)
concerning the economy/diseconomy of scale provision
