1. Be it enacted by the general assemblv, that a notice of any M otion, how

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, that tle first and second Act of 1e3
sections of chapter one hundred and ninety-eight of the Code of amended
Virginia (edition of eighteen hundred and sixty), as amended by al
act to suppress gaming, passed October sixteenth, eighteen hunlred
and sixty-three, be further amended and re-enacted so as to read as
follows:
§ 1. A free person who shall keep or exhibit a gaming table, Penalty for ex-

kind, under any denomination, whether the game or table be played
with cards, or any evasive substitute for cards, dice, or otherwise, or
fliho shall be a partner, or concerned in interest, or employed or en-
gaged in any manner in the keeping or exhibiting such table or hank,
or who shall permit the keeping or exhibition of such table or bank
