Commencement  2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
C11AP. 441.-An ACT for the relief of Samuel C. Young of
Charlestown.
Passed March 21, 1860.
Pension allowed 1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, that Samuel
Samnuel C.
Young.    C. Young of the town of Charlestown, who was perma-
nently disabled by a gun-shot wound received at Harpers
Ferry on the seventeenth (lay of' October eighteen hundred
anti fifty-nine, while gallantly attacking John Brown's
party of armed insurgents, shall be placed on the pension
list, and receive ninety-six dollars antnually during his life;
to he paid, one-hall of said sum on the first day of Janu-
ary, andcl the remaining half on the first (lay of July of
each year: The suid payments to commenilce on the first
day of January eighteen hundred and sixty.

CuAr. 442.-An ACT for the payment of a Lost Draft to Jesse
Teter of Barbour County.
Passed February 25, 1860.
Amountre-    1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, that the se-

of the Internal improvement fund not otherwise appro-
priated, in fhvor of Jesse Tetcr, for the sum of two hun-
dred and twenty-two dollars and ninety cents, with inte-
rest thereon from the ninth day of December eighteen
hundred and fifty-six, being the amount of a draft on the
Board of public works, lost by accident: or the said
sum, with tile interest as aforesaid, may be paid by an
