Compensantion  2. Resolved, That for the services hereby required, the said clerk shall
therefor.    receive fifty dollars, nnd the public printer shall be paid for printing and

No. 20.-Resolutions for distributing certain copics of Gallaher's Register of the
Debates of the Virginia Reform Convention.

Preamble.      Whereas certain copies of Gallaher's Register of the Debates and
Proceedings of the Virginia reform convention are to be delivered by
the publisher to the secretary of the commonwealth, and by him hold
subject to the order of the legislature : Therefore,
Gallaher's Regs.  1. Resolved by the r'eneral asstmbly, That the secretary be directed to

distributed.  United States, and to the clerk of the house of delegates for his office,
and to the clerk of the senate for his office, each a copy of said Register
of Debates and Proceedings when the same shall have been bound; also
one copy to the president of the United States for the use of the presi-
dential library.

to one bound copy of said Register, to be delivered at the same time the
bound copies of the Journal of the house of delegates and of the senate
are delivered.

of the Code of Virginia.

Preamble.     Whereas negro slave William, a felon convicted in the county of Fau-
quier and his punishment committed by the executive for transportation
out of the limits of the United States, has, since lie was removed to the
penitentiary, become lunatic and unsaloablc : And whereas humanity as
well as other considerations' make it proper that corrective rcmclics
should be applied to his case, which cannot be well done at said institu-
tion :
