CLAIMS.

dollars and twenty-four cents; to Christopher Miller, for six hundred
and ninety-fivo dollars, and to John Harper, for six hundred and ninety-
ive dollars, being the amounts paid by them as security as aforesaid into
the treasury of Virginia.
Commencement.  2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
CUM-. 285.-An ACT for the relief of Zedekiah Kidwell of the county of
Marion.

ferred to Marion mit the case now pending in said court, together with the papers thereto
cfranttcourt,  belonging, wherein Zedekiah Kidwell is plaintiff and the Board of pub-
lic works are defendants, to the clerk of the circuit court of Marion
county, there to be proceeded in, tried and determined by said circuit
court of Marion county as other cases.

CHAP. 280.-An ACT for the relief of Koons and Dean of the county of
Alexandria.

AccountofKoons  1. Be it enacted by tMe general assembly, That the auditor of public ne-
pad Dean to be counts be and he is hereby authorized and required to issue his warrant
paid.
on the treasury, payable out of any money therein not otherwise appro-
priated, in favor of Koons and Dean or their legal representative, for
the sum of four hundred and eighty-one dollars and thirty-two cents,
for aupplies furnished by said Koons and Dean to a company of volun-
teers for the Mexican war, commanded by the late Capt. Henry Fairfax.
Commencement.  2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
CHAP. 287.-An ACT for the relief of George Rabbitt of Fauquier county.
[Passed March 29, 1851.
George Rabblit  1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That the county court of
paldforkeaplng Fauquicr be and is hereby authorized to provide by a county levy for
a tuoatlcin Jail, the payment of the account of George Rabbitt, Ite jailor of Fauquier
county, for the sum of one hundred and sixteen dollars and thirteen
cents, being the amount due to him for keeping in his jail William Stro-
ther, a lunatic.
Commencement.  2. This act shall be in force from the passage thereof.
CHAP. 288.-An ACT for the relief of Robert Ratclifr.

Value of cen.  1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That the auditor of public
damned slave  accounts be and lie is hereby authorized and -required to issue his war-
paidt to F.P- Red.

appropriated, in favor of F. P. Redman or his legal representative, for
the sum of five hundred and fifty dollars, the price of a slave convicted
of a capital offence atnd ordered to be transported.
