CuAP. 338.-An ACT for the relief of Arthur, a free man of color.
[Pansed March 16, 1850.)
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That it shall ie lawful for the Htow Arthur to

CHAP. 339.-An ACT for the relief of Susan Blackwell.
[Passed March 16, 1850.]
Whereas it is represented to the general assembly of Virginia, that Preamble.
Susan Blackwell, i free person of color, resiling in the city of Norfolk,
did, by accompanying Dr. Henry IV. Tabb to tile state of Massachusetts
during the last summer, in tile capacity of a servant, incur certain pC-
ualties and forfeitures. prescribed by the act passed fourteenth of March
eighteen hundred and forty-eight, (Criminal Code eighteen hundred lind
forty-seven and cight, chapter tell, section thirty-seven, page one hun-
dred and nineteen,) and has petitioned this general assembly for relief:
1. Be it therefore enacted, That the said Susan Blackwell s111 be and Sutin Blackwel
