Hampshire, may remain within this commonwealth and reside in the
said county of Hampshire : Provided, That if the said Joseph Ale\.
ander shall hereafter be convicted or any criminal offence, the privi.
lege hereby granted shall cease : And providcd also, That the court
of the said county or llampshire, a majority of the acting magis.
trates being present, may at any time revoke the leave of residence
hereby granted; and it; after such conviction or revocation, he shall
remain within this commonwealth more than twelve months, he shall
forfeit his right to freedom, and may be proceeded against as if this
act had never been passed.
Conmmenceinent.  2.  his act shall be in force from the passing thereof.

and that all the justices of said court shall be summoned for that
purpose.
Commencement. 2. This act shall be in force from the passing thereof.
CHAP. 356.-Au ACT for the relief of Rtichard Gregory.

Richard Crigory  I. Be it cna'titI by the g.ncral assenbly, That it shall be lawful

county having heen previously summoned for that purlose, to grant
permission to Richard Gregory, a free man of colour, to remain in
the commonwealth, and reside in said county during tihe pleasure of
the said court : J'ro,idcvd however, That the coirt granting such per-
mission shall consist of not less than fificen justices.
Cotnhionceifnt. '2. This act shall be in force from the passing thereof.
