CHAr. 371.-An ACT divorcing John Peyton from hIi wife Delila.
[Passed e'bruary 9, 1848.]
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That the marriage lere- John Peyton dl-
toforc solemnized between John Peyton and his wife Delila, (for- 'd °lol Ila
merly Delila Slhefl,) of tihe county of Cabell, %hall be, and the same
is hereby dissolved; the said John forever divorced from his wife the
said Delila, and all right, title or interest of the said Delilht in or to
tile estate, real or personal, of the said John Peyton, shall henceforth
cease and determine.

CHAP. 372.-An ACT divorcing Jacob Pion from his wife Mary Jane.

1, Be it enacted by the general assembly, That the marriage here- iacoil, Plum dl-
tofore solemnized between Jacob Plum and Mary Jane his wife, of'd rrot.i his
the county of Preston, shall be, and the same is hereby dissolved ; tie
said Jacob forever divorced from his wife the said Mary Jane, and
all right, title or interest of the said Mary Jane in or to tile estate,
real or personal, of the said Jacob Plum, shall henceforth cease and
determine.
53. This act shall be in force from the passing thereof,        coanencezneat.
CHAP. 373.-An ACT divorcing William Yonson from his wife Eliza Jane.
[Passed March 17,18 i8.]
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That the marriage lm.Yoann di-
heretofore solemnized between William Yonson and his    vi.e Eliza .v.rced froml1Is
Jane, of the county of Loudoun, shall be and tile same is hereby dis-
solved ; and the said William forever divorced from his wife tile said
Eliza Jane, and all right, title or interest of the said Eliza Jane in or
to the estate, real or personal, of the said William Yonson, shall
henceforth cease and determine.
2. This act shall be in force from the passing thereof.        Commencement.
CHAP. 374.-An ACT to amend the act, entitled an act allowing Thomas
Duncan, George Scott and Lucy, free persons of colour, to remain in the
commonwealth, passed March 2, 1817.

and she is hereby permitted to remaii, as a free woman, within this
commonwealth, and to reside in the said county of Norfolk :Pro- Ilaw permission
ided, That if tile said Lucy shall iereafter be convicted by the ver- ruv .
diet of a jury or tile judgment of a court of record, of any offence
against tile laws of this comlonwealth, the privilege hereby grantel
shall cease : And provided also, That the court of the said county
of Norfolk shall have power, at any time when they shall think fit, a
majority of the acting magistrates being present, to revoke the leave
of residence hereby grantedl, and order the said Lucy to depart this
Collnonweath.
