incurred by then as extra guard in assisting the sheriff of the said
county of Lancaster in conveying to the public jail and penitentiary
house of this commonwealth two free negroes, to wit : Join Key and
Bob, alias Robert Vincy, who had been convicted by the county court
of said county, sitting as a court of oyer and trminer, of felony.
2. This act shall be in force front its passage.            Commencement.
CHAP. 269.-An ACT authorizing the payment of a certain sum of money to
William T. Simmons.

Rockbridge to await the trial of a certain James J. Mooney, charged
with the stealing of the said slave, in order that he might be identi.
