CHiAP. 165.-An ACT divorcing Benjamin Wright from his wife Mariam.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That the marriage here- nieni. Wright
tofore solemnized between Benjamin Wright of the county of Jack- divorced.
son and Mariam his wife, shall be and the same is hereby dissolved,
and the said Benjamin forever divorced fronq his wife the said Mariam,
and that all right, interest and claim of the said Mariain in and to
the estate, real or personal, of the said Benjamin, or any part thereof,
shall henceforth cease and determine.
2. This act shall be in force from the passing thereof.      commencernot.
CHAP. 166.-An ACT granting power to the county court of Accomack to
decide upon the applications of Peter Snead and Richard Chandler to remain
in the commonwealth.

Whereas the county of Accomack is exempted from tile operation 'reainble.
of the provisions of the act, entitled an act amending tile laws
concerning emancipated slaves, free negroes and mulattoes, passed
March the twenty-second, eighteen hundred and thirty-seven: And
whereas Peter Snead and Richard Chandler, emancipated slaves resi-
dents of said county, have petitioned the general assembly for per-
mission to reside within the commonwealth:
1. Be it therifore enacted by the general assembly, That the county court or Acc,-
court of Accomack, constituted according to tile provisions of the mack to ,,cidi

of the before recited act.
