CHAP. 83.-An ACT providing for the repair of the public warehouse in tile
town of Buchanan.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That John N. Johnston, Public warehouse
John S. Wilson, James L. Woodville, John M. Harvey, and John ,reanen to be

power to contract for and superintend the making of such repairs
to the public warehouse in the town of Buchanan, as in the opinion
of said commissioners, or any three of them, may be deemed ne-
cessary for the preservation of said warehouse from injury and de-

CnAP. 84.-An ACT concerning apprentices bound out by overseers of the
poor.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, rhat hereafter when inro or nppren-
any free person of colour shall be bound out by order of any county pareto, paid
or corporation court as an apprentice, it shall be the duty of the  
court making such order, to consider what will be the reasonable
annual value of the services of such apprentice in the particular
art, trade or business which he or she is to be taught, for each year
of his or her apprenticeship; and if such apprentice shall have a
father or mother living, the court shall require that the master or
mistress, as tile case may be, shall pay him or her the reasonable
value of such services, for every year of the apprenticeship except
