CuAr. 362.-An AT allowing Aaron Banks, a free man of colour, to remain
in the commonwealth.
(Passed January 26, 1837.]
Aaron Banks per-  1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That Aaron Banks, a
istdremat n free man of colour of the county of Kanawha, shall be and he is
hereby permitted to remain within this commonwealth, and to re.
Provi,.   side within the said county of Kanawha: Provided however, That
if the said Aaron Banks shall hereafter be convicted by the verdict
of a jury, or the judgment of a court, of any offence against the
laws of this commonwealth, the privilege hereby granted shall
thenceforth cease.
Commencement.  2. This act shall be in force from the passing thereof.
