taking along with her the said staves so held by her, but cannot do

the said slaves, the administrator of the suid Alatlhev Anderson
and the guardian or guardians, if any, of the children of the said

pointments respectively may have been made, or shall hereafter be
made, enter upon the records of the court their willingness and
assent thereto.

CHAP. 335.-An ACT authorizing Lewis Smith and wife to remove beyond
the limitj of the commonwealth certain personal estate held by them for

rree,bto.     Whereas it appears to the general assembly, that Lewis Smith
and Emeline his wife, are possessed of a life .estate in certain
personal property consisting of slaves, held by right of dower of
the said Emeline, in the estate of her fi manr husband Thomas
It. Campbell, reversion to Hugh Campbell and Olivia Campbell,
children of the said Thomas It. Campbell and the said Emeline;
that the said Lewis Smith and Emeline his wife, who are about re-
moving to the state of Mississippi, are desirous of taking with them
the slaves so held by them, and it appearing that Hugh Campbell,
senior, the grandfather and gnardian of tie said children, is uni-
ting in the application of the said Lewis Smith and wife fbr per-
mission to carry the slaves so by them held beyond the limits of
this commonwealth: Therefore,
Authority o   I. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That the said Lewis

wealth, into the state of Mississippi, the slaves held by them as
aforesaid, in right of the dower of the said Emieline, in the estate
of the said former husband, Thomas It. Campbell, without incur-
ring the forfeiture for so doing, imposed by the forty-ninth section
of the act, entitled,  an act reducing into one the several acts con-
cerning slaves, free negroes and mulattoes, passed the second of

before such removal, the guardian or guardians of the children afore-
said, and the securities of him, her or them, respectively, shall be-
fore the court of the county ii which such guardian or guardians
have been or may hereafter be appointed, enter upon the records
of the court their willingness and assent thereto.
