main in the commonwealth a limited time.
(Passed March 22, 18W(2.)
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That with the view of ciarhel Williams
enabling Charles Williams, a man of colour, lately emancipated, and tt to rin''a
now residing in the county of Fairfax, to make arrangements for
the removal of himself and. family out of the commonwealth, per-
mission be, and the same is hereby granted him to remain within
the commonwealth for the term of three years, unmolested, and to
reside in the said county of Fairfax; and if- at any time within that
period, the county court of the said county of Fairfax shall see cause
to order the said Charles Williams to depart the commonwealth, they
shall have full power so to order, and thenceforth the leave of resi-
dence hereby granted shall cease and determine.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.           Commencement.
CHAP. 280.-An ACT allowing Charlotte Morgan, a free woman of colour, to
remain in the commonwealth.
(Passed March 2%, 18360.)

permitted to remain as a free person in this commonwealth, and to
reside in the said county of Hardy, for the term of five years, but
no longer; and if at any time within that period, the county court
of.the said county of Hardy shall see cause to order the said Char-
lotte Morgan to depart the coimmnnwealth, they shall have full
power so to order, and thenceforth the leave of residence hereby
granted shall cease.
2. This act shall be in force from the passage thereof.   Commencement.
CHAP. 281.-An ACT allowing Andy, a man of colour, to remain in the coin-
roonwealth a limited time.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That Andy, a man Andy allowed to

full power so to order, and thenceforth the leave of residence hereby,
given shall cease.
2. This act shall be in force from the passing thereof.   Commencement.
CHAP. 282.-An ACT allowing Jim Smith and wife, and their infant children,
free persons of colour, to remain in the commonwealth a limited time.
