CUAP. 919.-An ACT concerning Titus Brown, a free man of colour.
(Passed February 18, 1835.)
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That Titus Tite. Brown al.
Brown, a free man of colour, a resident of the county of Loudoun, s  toatemainin
shall be and he is hereby permitted to remain as a free person within
this commonwealth, and to reside in the said county of Loudoun:
Provided, That if the said Titus Brown shall hereafter be con-
victed by the verdict of a jury, or the judgment of a court, of any
offence against the laws of this commonwealth, the privilege hereby
granted shall cease and determine.
2. This act shall be in force from and aftvr the passing thereof. Commencemnt.
ClIs'. 220.-An ACT allowing Nathan, sometimes called Nathan Dunlap, a
free man of colour, to remair in the commonwealth a limited time.
(Passed February 20, 1835.)
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That Na- Nathan lunlap
than, sometimes called Nathan Dunlap, a free man of colour, now   treman
residing in the county of Rockingham, shall be and he is hereby
permitted to remain in this commonwealth, and to reside in the said
county of Rockingham unmolested for the term of five years, but
no longer: Provided, That if the county court of the said county
of Rockingham shall, at any time within the said term of five years,
think proper to order the said Nathan to depart the commonwealth,
they shall have full power so to do, and thenceforth the privilege
herein granted shall cease and determine.
2. This act shall be in force from and after the passing thereof. Commencement.
CuAP. 221.--An ACT allowing Ned Keeling, a free man of colour, to remain
in the commonwealth.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That Ned Ned Keeling at.
Keeling, a man of colour, residing in the borough of Norfolk, shall ialestate.
be and he is hereby permitted to remain as'a free person within this
commonwealth, and to reside in the said borough of Norfolk: Pro-
vided, however, That if the said Ned Keeling shall hereafter be
convicted by the verdict of a jury, or the judgment of a court, of
any offence against the laws of this commonwealth, the privilege
herein granted shall cease.
2. This act shall commence and be in force from and after its Commencement.

CusP. 222.-An ACT allowing Walker, a free man of colour, to remain in the
commonwealth a limited period.
(Passed March 10, 185.)
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly, That for the pur-Walker allowed t

Spottsylvania, who has lately purchased his freedom, of acquiring
the necessary means in order to his removal out of the common-
wealth, the said Walker shall be, and he is hereby permitted to re-
side in the said county of Spottsylvania, unmolested, for the term
of three years, but no longer; and if -t any time within that period
tie county court of the said county shall think proper to order the
said Walker to depart the commonwealth, they shall have full power
so to order, and thenceforth the leave of residence hereby granted
shall cease.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.           Commencement.
