dred and twenty.seven, entitled 0an act to amend the act, en-
titled 'an act reducing into one, the .several acts concerning
slaves, free negroes and mulattoes.
Commencement.  2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
CHAPTBR 181.-An act allowing HItchatd Greenway, a free man of colour, to
remain in this Commonwealth.
(Passed February 7th, 1829.)
Hihard Green.  I. Be it enacted by the General /sseinbly, That Richard Green-
way rmitted to way, a man of colour, of good character. (and now upwards of
Uommonwealth. fifty years or age,) who was emancipated by the will or Simon
Parhamn, late of the county of Prince George, shall be, andi he is
How permiuion hereby permitted to reside as a freeman in the said county: Pro-
may be revoked. vided, however, That the county court of Prince George, shall
have power, whensoever they may deem it expedient, to revoke
the leave of residence hereby granted, and to order the said
'ffect of order of Richard Greenway to depart this Commonwealth: and if he shall
revocation.   remain therein more than twelve months after such order of re-
vocation, lie shall forfeit his right to freedom, and be subject to
presentment, prosecution and sale, as is provided by the eighth
section of the act passed the twenty-fourth day of February,
eighteen hundred and twenty.seven, entitled an act to amend
the act, entitled ' an act reducing into one the several acts con-
cernin  slaves, free negroes anti mulattoes.
Commencement.   2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
