1. Be it enacted by the leneral Alssemnbly, That Burwell, Joe Certain slaves of
FJosset, John Henmings, Madison and Eston Ileminingl, persons Thomas Ju lirson
of colour emancipated by til last will and testanent of Thoinas e,.lmitete, o .ll.

ever, That if' the said Burwell, Joe Fosset, John Ilemmings, Ma-
dison and Estou I lemmings, or any or either of themu, shall here-
after be convicted by the verdict o  a jury and tie judgment of
a court, of any offeilnce against the laws um( this Connwealth, it

which the conviction ilmy be had, or for the court of the county
