. WHE REAS it is represented to the General Assembly, Preamble.

CHHP. 151.-..An act for the relief of the heirs of Edward Carter de,c-,,J.
WHEREAS it is replesented to the General Assembly, Preamble.
that, by a decree orl the superior court of elueery held for
the dlistriet of Fird-iic.ksburg, it was ordered that the laiuds
of which Edward Carter late of Prine. William county died
seized, should 'be equally divided among his oue sons Ed-
ward, Cassius, Char-les, Shirley and John  Hill Carter, and
whereas, also, Charles Catter or Shirley in his life ltme cou-'
voyed in (rust tq lobert Randolph a certain tract o' laud,
called Saints Hill, adjoining that so devised by 'the said Ed-
ward, to the use and benefit  the said sons of -the said E d-
ward, and by the said deed of trust directed tOut the said
tract of land, called Saints lill, should he equally also divi-
ded tmong the said sons 'of Edward Cartel-, which trust has
by decree or tile court' aforesaid since been transferred to
r1hloinas Turner, who is the guardian o' the sons or tile slid
Edward and hits e presentcd to this General Assembly,
that to divide both the said tracts aceording to the said de-
ecee and deed of tt'ust, would rot-duce a serious i n.6Iveni-
enee to the said sons of tile said Edward Cartel-, of hldiag

of a compact farm to each ; to remedy wvhich inoonvenience ;
