W       IIEREAS it is represented to the General Assembly,  y
Jainues Forsee, that, in the year one thousand eigl't hun.
dred and twelve, lie remioved fi-om the stuate of Kentucky to thi's
satc, and brought with him a aegro slave given him by his ra
ther; that, soon after his removal to this commonwealth as a-
foresaid, he exported kherefrOm one otlier feinale slave, in liet
of' tle ole so brouglt in ; but, Ciom ignorane, omitted to make
te statenientn, ant preutio the certificate thereof, in tie timit
and nkatiner preseribed by law-
1. lIe it lucrqfore cnacted, That the said James Foriec shall
be, and lie is herely authorized and empoweied to hold the'sai'

fine, penalty or ibrleiture whatsoever, incurred or to be ineurrati
by reuison of the omission aforesaid.          I

TV   George T. Kennon, Elizabeth B. Kennon, and William II.
lKeunon, a minor, by Elizabeth B. Kennon, his guardian, that
tfiree negro men, natives of this state, and belonging to them by
devise fiom General Richard Kennon, have been carried, for a
temporary purpose, by the said George T. Kenuon, to the state
of North Carolina; that in October last the said negroes were
brought hack into this state, but the said Kennons, not knuwing
that tihe act of Assembly required that slaves brought into this
state under such eirceumstances should be registered, failed to
have such register made:
