CHAPTER CCXX.
An Act to incorporate the town of Richmond, in Bedford county; to fli the
time of holding the Chancery Court at Rutledge, and for other purposes.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assenbly oftle
State of Tennessee, That the inhabitants of the town of Incolporation
Richmond, in the county of Bedford, be, and they are
hereby incorporated and made a body politic and cor-
porate by the name and style of the Mayor and Alder-
men of the town of Richmond; and the Mayor and Al-
dermen of said corporation shall be elected in the same
manner, and possess the same qualifications, and by the
same description of voters, and shall have the same
powers privi!eges and immnnunities, and be subject to the
same liabilities, obligations and restrictions as are au-
thorized, required and imposed by the *act of 1819, ch.
16, entitled 'an act to incorporate the inhabitants of the
town of Shelbyville, in the county of Bedford, so far
as the same are applicable and not herein altered.
SEC. 2. Be itfiurther enacted, That the Constable for  Election of
the 19th civil district in Bedford county, on the second officers.
Monday in March in ever3 year, shall open and hold an
election in said. town of Richmond for twelve Aldermen
for said town, and who shall give to each Alderman
elected, a certificate thereof, who shall meet on the next
Saturday thereafter, and organize according to the provi-
siunsof the above recited act, by electing a Mayor and the
other officers therein required and authorized to be elec-
ted by said Aldermen; said Mayor and Aldermen and
the officers by them elected, shall continue in office for
twelve months, and until their successors are elected
and qualified.
SEc. 3. Be it further enacted, That the corporate limits  Corporate

Curtes' Spring, thence west so as to include the schoo
house, thence north so as to include Dr. Isaac S. David-
son's residence, thence east to the creek, thence up said
creek including P. J. Thompson's residence to the be-
ginning.
SEC. 4. Be it further enacted, That said Mayor and
Aldermen may hold their meetings at such times and
places within said limits as they may agree upon.
Sco. 5. Be it fiirther enacted, That if the constable Time of bold-
